This Master thesis mainly attempts to become a kind of manual for the interested reader to try out wavelets, and different computationally effective ways of doing transforms. The second part is an instruction on how you can make an pretty decent video encoder, as well as some test results and comparisons to JPEG and MPEG equivalents. The wavelets we have been using are included in the appendix.
