Contingency Theory

Contingency theory is a class of behavioral theory which states that there is no most effective way to organize a company, to lead a company, or to decide. Rather, the perfect strategy is contingent (dependent) upon the internal and external circumstances. According to Contingency theory companies whose internal capabilities best match the demands of their environments will certainly attain the best adaptation. The essence of contingency theory is that best practices are determined by the contingencies of the situation. This page is dedicated to projects on contingency theory.
